SIZE IS KEY

Getting your partners size right is the most important thing you need to think about when purchasing lingerie. If you get the wrong size then your partner will either be polite and not tell you but never wear the lingerie or have to mess about trying to exchange it for a different size, both of which can be avoided. So how do you find her size? It’s simple, take a look in her lingerie drawer. It is a good idea to remember what lingerie she wears the most often as this will indicate what her current size is. All you have to do is look at the labels on your partner’s bras and knickers and you have her size. It is important to take note of both the band size and cup size on the bra, for example it might say 34D. 34 is the band size and D is the cup size.  

WOULD SHE ACTUALLY WEAR IT?   

Another important question to ask yourself before buying lingerie for someone else is; are they actually going to like and wear it? It can be hard to know what colours and styles your partner prefers but like before, the easiest thing to do is just look. Take a nose inside your partner’s wardrobe and lingerie drawer, are there colours or styles that appear often? When we ladies are being treated to beautiful new lingerie the last thing we want is to receive a black bra and red knickers. Make sure that when you are looking for a lingerie set you check to see that they have both the bra and knickers in your partner’s size. After all there is nothing sexier than matching lingerie. 

KEEP IT CLASSY

There is nothing wrong with surprising your other half with lingerie that is sexier or a little bit different to what they usually might wear but remember you are buying lingerie for them not yourself, so don’t just pick something that you would want her to wear. Try to choose lingerie that your partner will feel comfortable in. Something that is too sexy or provocative might just put them off and make them feel uneasy.
