I think we can all relate to the incredible feeling of whipping a bra off after a long and tiring day at work but is this feeling intensified by the fact we could be wearing the wrong sized bra. Shockingly around 80% of women are wearing the incorrect sized bra and don’t even realise but our top 5 bra fitting tips below will hopefully help you to get the perfect fit.

belle lingerie bra fitting guide tip 1
If the wires stand away from the body at the centre front or dig in at the underarm, a
larger cup size is needed.
The centre panel should sit flat against your skin.

If the bust is bulging over the tops of the cups and/ or under the armpit then a larger
cup size is needed.
There should be a smooth transition from bra to skin without any over-bulge.

If the straps are digging into the shoulders, they are supporting too much weight on the
breasts and so the underband may not be giving enough support. A smaller back size
may be needed. The straps should feel comfortable all day long and not leave red marks
when taken off. You should be able to fit two fingers comfortably under the straps, if you
can fit anymore then the straps need to be tightened.

If the cups lift away from the chest when the arms are lifted, then either a smaller back
size and/or a larger cup size is needed.

It is quite common for a woman to have one breast bigger than the other. Sometimes
there is only a slight difference, but sometimes there is a cup size difference. It is
important to fit the bigger breast so that it is encased by the wire. The straps can be
adjusted so they are looser on the larger side and tighter on the smaller side to achieve
the best fit
