Although summer is one of the most fervently anticipated seasons of the year, for some of us, it’s also the most feared. This fear mainly comes down to wardrobe choice, or a lack of it.
Scouring the rails for the ideal swimsuit can sometimes appear to be an endless chore. Regardless of how many nylon offerings are available, this doesn’t mean each and every style will suit your figure.
However, there is a swimsuit style to suit every shape, the key is knowing how to find it. This season is sporting a number of retro-styled high-waisted bottoms that work to reveal a flattering amount of skin, and a variety of string bikinis that show off a toned torso.
The String Bikini
This style should only be worn if you are fully confident with your assets. String bikinis generally work well on those that possess a boyish figure, or otherwise, those that have spent the entire year slaving away in the gym.
The High Waist
This season is working a predominant 50’s style, which is welcome news to those that wish to reveal only a small amount of skin. The higher-waist hides the majority of the tummy-area, yet still looks sexy. This is a very flattering style and one that works on most figures – it will both create curves, whilst hiding any undesirable areas.
At one time we would have shunned the Maillot, a full-length swimsuit is after all associated with older individuals and your school days. The newly revamped swimsuit however is all the rage and comes in the shape of a backless style with a revealing neckline. Halter necks, belts and rushed fabric make for a flattering style.
The Bra Top
The bra top is best suited to those that have a bust. The wired bralet will keep your assets in place, whilst creating an attractive silhouette. This style is available in the shape of both full-length swimsuits and numerous bikini designs.
