How do you celebrate International Women's Day?

Here's to all women around the world...

As you may know March 8th is celebrated around the world as 'International Women's Day' a day dedicated to celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievement of women. While it's a great cause aimed at raising the profile of women and supporting gender equality we'd like to celebrate this one a little bit differently. Firstly, we don't need just a day, woman should be celebrated all year round! Secondly, we'd like to make this International Women's Day more about you.

You don't have to do something big and extraordinary to be celebrated, sometimes making the tea for your family, cleaning up the house every day or managing to put on a matching set of underwear is enough of a reason to celebrate yourself!

As women we face a lot of pressure and many of us try to conform to others ideals but the truth is just like everyone else women should be free to talk, eat, dress and act however they want! We want to celebrate all women, no matter what colour, shape, size or background you come from.

So, take today and treat yourself to something nice whether it's some sexy lingerie to boost your confidence, a nice long soak in the tub or just a binge watch of your favourite TV show. Do something for yourself.

I like to indulge in some baking and a good shopping spree so here's my favourite recipe and the top three items i'd treat myself to.

First up we have the Pour Moi Sofa Love Chemise – I chose this because it's perfect for jumping into, cuddling up with a blanket and having a movie marathon. It's lightweight and has a good fit so it's great as lounge wear.

Another Pour Moi item on my Wishlist is the Hush Soft Bra – you'll probably see a 'lounge wear' theme emerging as I like to relax by the fire, popcorn in hand and something great to watch. Soft bras are great for that as they give support but allow you to also, be free. I love the lace and strap detail on this one and it's a great price!

Lastly, we have the Gossard Superboost Lace Soft Body – a gorgeous and delicate body which is versatile both as underwear and outerwear. Bodies are excellent for giving a smooth shape under clothing but also for donning on a night out. This Gossard Body is a great option as it features mesh fabric, a beautiful lace design and a gold charm.
