Last year’s
spring/summer lingerie colour trends were all about bright colours and neon’s,
but this year they have toned down a lot as soft pastels and natural tones
adorn the catwalks. I always think that pastel shades create the perfect colour
palette for spring/summer as they are light, refreshing and feminine.
‘The
Romantic’ trend, which features all these gorgeous pastel colours; soft pinks
and nudes being particularly dominant, is so popular at the moment and it’s not
hard to see why. The trend features light colour tones, delicate fabrics, lace and
subtle floral prints, which combined create a very vintage inspired look.
Today I will
be showing you some of my favourite ranges from this classic colour trend.
Ultimo-The One Lace (Mint Green) Lepel- Fiore (Peppermint)
Ultimo are a
brand who are perfect for you smaller busted ladies and The One Lace range has
to be one of my favourites. The lightweight foam filled cups have been created
to give you uplift and create an amazing cleavage, which is important to
emphasise a smaller chest. The Mint Green colour works beautifully with the
delicate lace creating a feminine and refined collection and of course it is
right on trend for spring/summer. The Fiore
range by Lepel is one of our most popular everyday ranges. The simple and
elegant design creates a classic look with the soft peppermint colour
complimenting the subtle collection. The pretty
satin bows, which feature throughout the range, add femininity and detail while
the lace creates a vintage inspired look. I would definitely recommend you add
the Fiore range to your everyday lingerie drawer.
Gossard- Glossies (Mocha) Fantasie- Lois (Nude)
Not only
does the Glossies range by Gossard incorporate the on trend spring/summer
colour palette, it also features a sheer design, which littered the lingerie
catwalks last year. I have chosen to feature the stunning Mocha colour as the
earthy and neutral tones work beautifully against the sheer and modern fabric.
I love the way Gossard have made this natural colour trendy and up-to-date by
using such a sexy and risqué fabric. Are you feeling daring enough to reveal
all with the Glossies range?
Everyone
should have a nude bra somewhere in their lingerie drawer as it’s one of the
only colours that will not show through clothing. Nude has always been a colour
that has appeared un-sexy and dated but not anymore thanks to ranges like Lois by
Fantasie. This is one of my favourite collections due to its classic design and
sophisticated colour choices. The intricate lace trim, satin bow details and
pin-stripe design make this range modern and trendy and the addition of the
mesh panel along the top of the cups adds a contemporary twist to a classic
colour. Create the perfect everyday lingerie collection with the addition of
the Lois range.
Freya- Bombshell (Chiffon) Panache- Andorra (Powder Pink)
Fresh pink
tones will be particularly popular this spring/summer which I think is great as
pink in lingerie is cute, girly and sexy. In contrast to the vibrant shades we
saw last year, 2015 brings a much softer colour palette with light and mid-tone pinks being particularly prominent.
I have chosen to look at the Bombshell range
because of its funky but subtle retro print. I like the mixture of soft pastel
colours against the two clashing prints that feature in the bra and because of
the subtle colours, the print doesn’t overpower the range. Jazz up your
lingerie collection with this current range.
I adore the Powder
Pink colour in the Panache Andorra range because it isn’t too light and isn’t
too vibrant. The intricate lace design alongside the gorgeous colour creates an
elegant collection of lingerie that co-insides with the popular ‘Romantic’
trend. Panache design their lingerie with the bigger busted woman in mind so if
you have a larger bust then the Andorra range will be ideal for you.
