It’s hard to believe that one in eight women will suffer from breast cancer in their lifetime.
Over 50,000 women and around 350 men are diagnosed with breast cancer each year and shockingly around 12,000 women and 80 men will die from it.
More and more people are surviving from breast cancer each year thanks to new treatments, advances in research, breast cancer screening, earlier diagnosis and most of all breast cancer awareness.
Breast Cancer Awareness month is held every year in October and has now been happening for nearly 20 years. The main aim of it is to raise awareness about the illness and help people spot early symptoms.

It is also a great opportunity to help raise money for this amazing charity that effects so many people.

BCR Global & Curves Gym Support Breast Awareness Month

Bin Your Bra is a great campaign that means you can dispose of your un-wanted and un-used bras and help raise money for Breast Cancer Research at the same time.
BCR Global Textiles is a charity that helps small businesses in Africa sell your unwanted bras, which are too expensive to be produced there. This means that your bras can be re-cycled rather than be thrown into landfill.

There are three ways you can re-cycle your bras.

1)      Have a bra bank in your place of work- The delivery and collection of your bra bank is free.

2)      Dispose of your bras in a bra bank in your area. You can find out where your nearest bra bank is by clicking on the link below.

3)      You can send your bras by post to
