Curvy Models Take Over The Runway At London Fashion Week

30 September 2014

Curvy models walk down the runway for Evans for the first time at London Fashion Week
Written by Charlotte Topping - 30 September 2014

Evans spring/summer collection 2015

London Fashion Week made history this year by show casing the first ever plus-size collection which featured only curvy models. It’s very hard to believe that this was the first time a plus-sized collection hit the runway at London Fashion Week. The Design Collection for Evans spring/summer collection was put together by the man behind the Topshop empire, Sir Philip Green, who paired up Evans with designers Giles Deacon, Clements Ribeiro, Hema Kaul, Lulu Liu, Jamie Wei Huang and Vita Gottlieb to create this stunning and diverse collection. The designers were able to mix their own individual styles with Evans in-house looks which create these fashion forward but ready to wear looks. The collection featured bold and bright prints alongside softer pastel colours but the majority of the clothes were loose fitting and floaty pieces which will be available to buy in February 2015.

It was the soft blue, white and metallic tones that dominated the collection. The light colours work well with the floaty and loose styles and are the perfect combination for spring and summer.

Fantasie- Vivienne

The soft metallic colours from the Evans collection can be seen in The Vivienne by Fantasie lingerie set in silver. This feminine side support bra and brief set is made with stunning embroidery and French lace and has a vintage and classic look. 10% off this beautiful range at Belle Lingerie.
